About Me
Writer, journalist, editor, dreamer, procrastinator, baker and music lover. World traveler, lived in several countries, traveled to many more, danced at many a music festival... felt I was floating away at the live performance of an Ismael Lo, a Peter Gabriel, a Mariza.
Reported from a dozen countries as well... always looking for new music from all ends of the world, especially "world," folk and acoustic/singer-songwriter stuff. Surprise me, astound me, stretch my boundaries - make me laugh, cry and dance! And add to the long list of mixtapes as I finally get a few after nearly 20 years of only making them for others...

Running a bit late with your November mix - many apologies! I put it in the post today, so it will be winging its way to you from sunny Australia now - hope you enjoy. |

Hi Thomas: I am your September MixMaker & dropped your disc in the mail today (9/30). It should make its way to you in the next 5-10 days. Sorry for cutting it so close! Hope you dig the mix. Thanks, Ashley |

it's definitely not 'smooth jazz', but the holistic medicine mix isn't hard at all. 'what i got' is the softer version of the two (oh wait - it's sublime - make that 7), and the other stuff falls into the 'chill' category. the mix got it's name because everytime you're not feeling well, just put it on, and you feel much better by the end of the cd. that wasn't the intention when it was mixed - the healing effect was an accidental side product. call it the rogaine of imp mixes. |

hi thomas - i'm you're imp dj for the month of march. wasn't sure which mix to send you, so i'm sending two: a 'holistic medicine' mix, and a 'garage rock' mix. both are listed in my profile if you want to check them out. hope you enjoy at least one of them... |

Hi! I mailed this month's mix, so hopefully it gets there soon. I didn't have time to check whether it works, so if there's a problem, let me know and I'll send another one. Cheers! |

Thomas, Sorry for forgetting to say I'd gotten your February mix. This is a great disc! Other than the Stevie Wonder I don't think I'd ever heard a single thing on it. My fiancee and I have been listening to it a lot - we don't know what most of them are singing about, but it's great! Definitely works to chase away the winter blues. Thanks again! --Mike |
