The Villain Verlaine

About Me

I currently live in Bloomington, Indiana, which I believe might be the only sane place in the entire state. I play rock'n'roll music in a bunch of bands in the area which include a Who/Stooges-esque indie rock band called Secrets Between Sailors, an alt-country influenced group called the Country Death, and an improvisational conept metal band called Skkkkkorch, in which one vocalist represents the angel Michael, and one voice, run through an effect pedal, represents Satan in their eternal power struggle. I also like Thai food and jazz.

Just saw your "How the Indy Kids Get Down' mix appear randomly on the Frontpage. Looks like a sweet mix - love James Murphy, Eels, and the Velvets. If you send a copy, I'll send a mix back your way. Drop me a line @

Hi Kyle, I'm sorry not to have given feedback quicker. I really loved that mix you sent me. Especially the last song. What a beautiful, melancholic ode to a truly glorious city. Thanks heaps for the mix. Keep up the good work! Peace out.
