About Me

I'm Becky, just an average student, vegan, and music lover. =) I am a part of numerous online networks, and yet, I still have nothing interesting to put in these About Me sections. I'm nice, though, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask! =) Also, I'm always looking to expand my music tastes so if you want to throw out a suggestion, go for it! I'll try to return the favor!EDIT: I am currently not "active" on this website, but I still check it from time to time. If you've stumbled across my profile and think we have similar tastes, shoot me an email at justapaperbook[at]yahoo[dot]com and I'd love to trade (just mention mix cds/mixtapes/IMP or whatever so I know you're not spam :])

Hey,hey!!! I got yours. Great mixes. I especially like the magic eye disc. I knew very few of the songs, so this was a real surprise and I have been listening intently. Thanks so much. And kudos to you for showing some creativity with the package design. Very nice.

David

Okay, maybe I sent it to the wrong email. Anyways, mine is david.haw@cogeco.ca

David

I've sent you my contact info; so send me yours.

David

Which one is you? The tongue-sticker-outer? Or the devil- horn-signer?

David

All Righty then, I'll send you my contact info via email.

David

Oh, Becky!!!! I was trolling the profiles and mixes and saw that you had Mindless Self Indulgence on one. Anyone who likes MSI can't be all bad. So, would you be up for a side trade?

Lindsay

Aw, sweet! My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it! x

Martin

Bob

Hello Becky. I'm glad you like the mixes. I can't for the life of me recall what I sent though. I think one was "Cause of Death: Punk Rock!!!" but what was the other? I should recall because it wasn't that long ago.

Bob

Becky, I sent you a little something last week just under the wire. Let me know if you get it and what you think. Bob 8/4/08

Mike

Hi Becky: I wound up being an English major at Albany, and parlayed that into a career in librarianship. As for the deli, I don't remember a name-- it was near the bear statue, I think you had to walk down some steps, but I could be wrong about that...

Mike

Hi Becky: What do you study at Geneseo? I actually applied to the school, and was...um, turned down (I wound up going to SUNY Albany). Some friends and I went to the Geneseo campus once; I remember the bear statue, the one main street (is it called Main Street?), deciding whether or not to see "Showgirls" at the one movie theater in town, and the deli we had dinner. That meal was commemorated that same night in a song recorded by the band I was in in high school called "I'll Have a Roast Beef with Cheese" (my pre-vegan days). Have a good day, Mike

Mike

Hi Becky: glad you liked the mix, and thanks for the feedback; it was very thoughtful and I appreciate it. Always good to hear from a fellow upstate New York-er (I forgot to update my profile, but I have recently moved back to Rochester, which is where I'm from), and a fellow vegan at that. I've been lucky enough to live in cities with enough markets, co-ops, and restaurants to make it pretty simple, but I would think being a vegan is more of a challenge in a small town like Rome, right? Take Care, Mike

ANDY

Based on your music tastes, you may like Devendra Banhart -- if you haven't heard of him already.\
