About Me
Living in St. Paul, MN
Former college radio DJ. The "best" mix I ever received was from a listener, Slinky Dog, who made me a mix entitled "1968 The Best Year Ever." His mix was in my DJ box one day with a post-it from the music director: "A crazy guy that visited the station very creepily asked me to give this to you."
The "best" mix I ever made was for my friend Patrick who was so distracted by its genius he was hit by a van while crossing the street. :/ Thankfully he wasn't hurt too badly.
I love thoughtful people, learning new things, cities at night, anything Finnish, and my kitty Thor.

Hi Jenny, Thanks for the Electronic Scandinavian BBQ mix. I enjoyed it very much. I like Apparat, and I love Broadcast; also seeing Grace Jones' version of Warm Leatherette made me smile, I'm a big fan of JG Ballard. Good work! This is the first IMP mix I've gotten in awhile that wasn't a recycling of the current indie top 10. John (syzygy139) |

Was just wasting the rest of my dull day at work when I read your profile. Laughed out loud when I read about your friend being awestruck (and van-struck) by your mix. (Not a malicious laugh :-)) I used to DJ in college too. Also love many of your faves. See X live if you can - it's a great show. Let me know if you want to sidetrade sometime... |

Hey, just wanted to drop a line again to say how much I have been enjoying your October 2008 mix in my kitchen for almost a whole year now. My current favorite is "There's A Pot A Brewin'." I have to listen to it about six times per day. |

Hi Jenny! Thanks for the mix! I've been enjoying it. Actually, I just moved to Germany, but don't have a real mailing address here yet. The mix you sent to CA was forwarded back to my parents' house in Madison, and they sent it to me over the interwebs:) So no need to send another copy. |

Thanks for the January mix, Jenny. I can say without doubt that it's the best mix I've yet received: it's taken up residency in one of my CD players. Good to see a nice mix of old and new on there, too. |

Thanks for the warning about the Jan mix, Jenny. You have now whetted my appetite. |

I'm pretty sure you're the Jenny from MN that just sent me a lovely, present-packaged mix for December. It's all songs that I don't know (mostly by bands I've heard-of-not-heard), so I'm looking forward to digging into it, but probably won't have time to until next week. I'll shoot you an email once I've had a chance to. It looks great though, thanks! And hey, anyone who titles a mixtape after a line from "Find the Answer Within" is clearly on the right track... |

It all works so well, but I'm always a sucker for the Boo Radleys, a most underated band |

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you but the mix you sent was fantastic - took my breath away! Fantastic sleeve as well. You out my efforts to shame |

how cool that we were assigned to each other! i got your mix too, and love it. i'm kind of listening to it in chunks, so lately i've been obsessively repeating the first four. i think "nice train" is my favorite, with the first track being a close second. thanks for the other "don't" songs! i don't know those ones, so i will have to look them up. and i'm glad you saved the mix from the oatmeal. i won't ask how that happened. |

Dear Jenny: Gosh, I'm sorry. I'm just writing to tell you that your August '08 mix just got put in the mail yesterday, so you should be getting it in a couple of days. It's a bunch of bouncy-yet-smart techno-pop things, a summer mix arriving in fall. By way of explanation or excuse, I'm in the middle of a move right now (and coming to you live from a hotel room!) and so things have been hectic and disorganized. I apologize for this here delay. - Andrew |

That's too bad. I like Ween and have always wanted to see them live; but douchy isn't the vibe I'm looking for. |
